Keeping Lean

Keeping Lean During lockdown there are many stories of people exercising and keeping lean and others of putting on weight. I seem to be straddling both camps, doing a bit of cycling but also indulging a bit too much on the calorie intake side of things. It’s a bit like a spring and summer Christmas, watching more telly than normal and eating beyond what my body needs. As we slowly return to our office spaces, keeping lean is going to be more than an option, it will be a priority if we are going to survive and hopefully thrive. One of EasyJet’s Core Values is “Simplicity – We cut out the things that don’t matter to keep us lean and make it easy” This applies to their offices as well as their flights. They examine everything in their business operations down to the last detail, it’s a lean and mean operation. What can we learn, here’s a few tips to cut down on our bills: Office supplies - Buy recycled paper, use rechargeable batteries instead of throwaways Turn off E...

Hook's Nightmare

Time   In Peter Pan, Captain Hook has his nightmares. Along with the adversary in Peter, calling him a codfish and avoiding all his attempts in bringing him down, the crocodile is seen as the scary enemy that could finish him off. As time is finite, how to get more out of it whilst staying calm and meeting...

I'm becoming a blogger.

Should I make my blog name “The Hulk”. After all I want to be talking about green energy and everything green related. But I am certainly not as big as him, and don’t know if his massive hands and fingers could manage to use a keyboard. So, in the absence of a quirky name, I am going to keep the one I have always used – John. My name is John Wilkinson and this is the first blog. My work experience has always been customer service and for the last ten years, business energy. If you are looking for renewable energy news, especially for SMEs who want to go green or greener (there’s the hulk analogy) and the odd useful tip then this is the place to be. Its not going to be a daily blog, you can get too much of a good thing, but a weekly one. And I will be focusing on helping the busy and overstretched Owner or Manager with hopefully useful information and the odd tip or too. So look out for tips on saving time, money and green energy. Okay, that is a very brief into, look forwar...
